Cosmetic Surgery

In modern society’s quest for perfection, cosmetic surgery emerges the victor. The rewards of cosmetic surgery are beauty, youth, and vigor – a modern Fountain of Youth that can be hard to ignore.

Yet cosmetic surgery does present significant risks and obstacles that cannot be ignored. Only by weighing the benefits and risks of cosmetic surgery can you determine if the procedure is the right decision for you.

The Pros
Since cosmetic surgery reshapes the natural contours of the body, it can improve those areas that the individual finds unattractive or undesirable.

Cosmetic surgery can reduce signs of aging, thereby enhancing the individual’s natural beauty and lending to a more vibrant, youthful appearance. It can also repair damage caused by trauma, illness, infection, developmental abnormalities, or heredity.

Since the desirable result of cosmetic surgery is a more attractive appearance, successful surgeries can have a strong positive effect on an individual’s psychological health.

Enhanced beauty can elevate self-esteem, increase a patient’s sense of self-confidence, and combat depression.
Many individuals will find that they feel more comfortable in the company of others after cosmetic surgery.
Still others feel their improved appearance helps them conform to the standard of beauty and vitality expected of them, thereby elevating their status in society.

The Cons

First off, cosmetic surgery is an expensive endeavor that can present a financial hardship for many patients.

Many single procedures come with price tags well into the thousands of dollars, and those individuals desiring multiple surgical procedures will easily find themselves with medical bills that far exceed the average worker’s yearly income.
Also consider that cosmetic surgery is an invasive procedure that seeks to reshape the natural contours of the body.
Surgeons must cut, bend, stretch, chisel, poke, and otherwise forcibly manipulate structures of the body into the desired shape in order for the procedure to be a success. This causes undue stress on the body resulting in pain and discomfort, bruising, swelling, and stiffness. The recovery period from cosmetic surgery can be lengthy for some procedures, lasting up to several months. Many procedures, though relatively safe, have the potential for serious complications that may even be permanent in nature.

Side-effects such as nerve damage, scarring, infection, and chronic pain may result if a surgery does not go smoothly.
Patients must frequently take time away from normal activities for the surgery and subsequent recovery period. This means that patients may have to take time off from work or school and avoid favorite activities such as sports and playing with their kids during the initial recovery period.
Many patients also find that they need assistance for a few days after the surgery to help them get around and take care of daily activities.
Finally, it is important to remember that the desired results cannot be guaranteed. The potential exists that the surgery will not produce the “ideal” look the patient was seeking in spite of the surgeon’s best efforts.
Cosmetic surgery is not an exact science, so potential patients need to keep in mind that there is no way to know what the final outcome will look like until the procedure has been performed and the recovery period has passed.

Smokin’ Hot Summer Makeup Tips

The sun? Blazing. Burgers? On the grill. Beer? In the cooler. But your face is melting faster than a snow cone on Pismo Beach.

Your image this summer should scream “hot,” not “overheated.” Follow the simple guidelines below for some sizzling seasonal styling, budget-friendly and doable in less than 5 minutes!

1) Consider eyelash extensions…a great way to add MAJOR GLAM to your peepers without looking overdone. The quick process involves affixing individual pieces of real human hair to your natural eyelashes with eyelash adhesive. They’re good anywhere from 2-6 weeks. No worries about swimming, showering or applying mascara; these lashes last through it all.

2) Who invited the raccoon to the picnic? Avoid too much black eyeliner. Keep it simple, sister, with a smudged line of black or brown eyeliner on your top lid only, as close to the lash line as
possible. Avoid using eyeliner on the bottoms; accent the lower corners only to meld with the top if desired.

3) Leave lips sheer and shimmery! Paints wear off super-quick at the beach, so invest in a lip liner closest to your natural lip color. Fill your lips in first with the liner, THEN top with your favorite gloss. Aloha…luscious lips for the luau!

4) A “must-have” in everyone’s makeup bag: a bronzer. Purchase one with very little or no shimmer to it. Dust with a large face brush on the high points of your forehead, bridge of nose, cheeks and chin. MAKE SURE to dab a touch of your favorite blush on the apples of your cheeks for a sexy super-rosy finish. More potato salad, anyone?

5) If your face is already bronzed or tan, invest in a sheer highlight shadow for your brow bone. This, paired with a touch of eyeliner and two coats of mascara, says effortless yet elegant.

Summer Beauty Tips

Summer is a great time for relaxation, recreation and renewal. If you’re like most of us, you probably take advantage of the longer days and warm weather to enjoy extra time with family and friends. While enjoying the hot, lazy days of summer, keep in mind that different beauty rules apply. Here are a few tips to keep you looking as good as you feel:

Summer Hair Care
If you spend lots of time outdoors and want to spice up your look naturally, try combing a little lemon juice through your hair. The sun will lighten those strands faster than your locks sans lemon, giving you an attractive sun-streaked look. It’s also easier on your budget than salon highlights.

Be sure to deep condition your hair at least once a week, especially if you swim a lot. Hair tends to become dry, dull and brittle if it is soaked and dried too often.

If you like to swim lengths, try spritzing on some leave-in conditioner under your swim cap to help ward off damage from chlorine and salt water.

Summer Skincare Tips
It may be hip to be tanned, and it does tend to camouflage a multitude of imperfections, but don’t deep-fry your skin for the sake of fashion. Your best bet is a high quality bronzer in a bottle. The Body Shop has a great all-natural formula. Just remember to use a facial scrub prior to application to slough off any dead skin cells. You may also want to use a pair of gloves, lest your palms turn orange!

If you spend lots of time outside, be sure to use sunscreen with minimum SPF 15. The cancer-preventing benefits are obvious, but protection is also a must for those of us who don’t want to look old before our time.

Make sure that you are adequately hydrated – at least 8 glasses of water a day and even more when you are outside.

If you do burn, apply Aloe Vera or lotions containing it. This will cool and soothe your skin and help you to heal faster. A personal trick is to apply cream containing zinc to my face at night. This is an effective way of healing my burn by the morning.

Nothing is more revolting than skin full of little red mosquito or bug bites, not to mention the new threat of West Nile Virus, so don’t forget the bug spray. You may want to try one of the new two-in-one sunscreen and insect repellants.

How to get the Natural, No-Makeup Look

What can be more appropriate for the warm season than a fresh-looking, flawless skin? With the right tools, products and a few basic tips and tricks you can get a no-makeup look in an instant. Forget about the mask effect this summer and try a subtle, natural makeup in order to enhance your most beautiful features. A perfect skin is sometimes the result of a makeup process that requires just some basic expert tips and tricks. Choosing the right textures and colors for your complexion are two essential things that must be considered. Therefore, the most suitable foundation for your skin type and the perfect shades, but also moisturizing and preparing the skin for makeup should represent the key steps in the entire routine.

As we already know, preparing the skin for makeup is a crucial step especially when wanting a gorgeous, healthy, glowing look. Thus, we must cleanse and use a moisturizer. When it comes to the no-makeup look, the skin is the most important element as it should be impeccable and radiant, without creating the illusion of wearing too much makeup. Still, this can be a rather tricky business since finding the correct products might not be the easiest thing ever.
Foundation : After moisturizing, it’s time to apply foundation. This is the magic tool that can totally change your aspect. How to choose it? Apply some foundation on the side of your face and check in natural light. The shade that disappears is the one for you and it will even and smooth out your complexion creating a dreamy effect. Use a foundation brush for full coverage. If you have a great skin, normal and normal to dry, a tinted moisturizer will suffice. Tinted moisturizers are a smart investment as they combine the nourishing properties of a cream with the benefits of a foundation. If you have oily skin, pick a compact foundation.

Concealer : For those of you who must face daily unwanted dark under-eye circles, concealer is a must. Choose a concealer with yellow undertones that is one to two shades lighter than your foundation. Apply it using a special small headed brush, then pat with a finger to blend. When wanting a no-makeup look, the trick is not to use too much concealer.

Powder and blush : Powder is not mandatory, since a natural-looking skin is not too matte and has a healthy glow. Apply powder only if your skin is excessively oily. Get a powder with a light, silky texture and apply it in circular motions using a brush. If you want to set the foundation, lightly dust your entire face with a translucent powder and reapply it whenever you feel your skin is getting too oily. For a lovely, healthy flush, opt for a cream blush in warm peachy or pink hues.

Eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner. A natural look means simple, subtle makeup, without colorful eyeshadows to bring out your eyes. Still, if you want to emphasize the beauty of your eyes, choose a brownish shade, slightly darker than your skin, or a shimmery nude eyeshadow, and apply it into the creases and even along the lower lashes. If you have blue eyes, pick a beige eyeshadow for a luminous effect. A no-makeup look doesn’t need eyeliner. Therefore, you can easily skip this part. However, if you really need to use eyeliner, go for a soft brown, gray or shimmery nude pencil. Remember to add some sexiness and define your eyelashes using a brown mascara.

Lipstick. Don’t forget the lips. For a stunning no-makeup look, a gloss or a nourishing balm would work just fine, yet you can also use a lipstick in a shade that is pretty close to the natural color of your lips.

Like attracts like

If you want to explore the hidden curiosity behind the above mentioned statement, analyze your own attitude while opening this article after reading just “The Heading”. The heading motivated you to open and read the article. This is because you liked it and now you are reading.

It’s not just a matter of an article; believe you in me, every thing around you is having the same level of motivation & energy. You just need to Explore……. It will take little of your time to think deeply about your hidden desires & goals. In the same regard, let me share two of my favorite statements with you, “Be whatever you want to be” and “Do whatever you want to do”.

If you will get attracted towards these statements and if you can understand the above mentioned example of reading this article; you can easily understand the crux of the law “Like attracts like”.

This is the simple and straight forward rule to achieve any thing you want in your life. First of all you need to develop a very positive thinking approach. When you think positive, you will act positive automatically. So in order to do well, you must think well. When you started thinking about your goal with a positive approach that you can achieve, you will automatically started working to have it, intentionally or unintentionally. So, Evaluate yourself, develop a connection between your mind and soul, make-up your mind and bring out your hidden desire from the back of your mind and place it in your first priorities. Do not forget that you “can do”. If you really like your task, your task likes you too for sure. This is the simple law of “Like attracts like”, what ever you like and get attracted towards, it will like you too as a response. It has nothing to do with your luck, you educational and finantional background etc. Although these aspects have their own important place in every body’s life, but they can’t be hurdle in the law of “likes attract like”. But while thinking positive and moving towards the way of achieving your destination, never ever think negative for a single time, because a single negative thought of losing the game can distract you from the road of success and you can lessen your positive energy. So keep your spirits high while moving forward and keep the attraction and charm within you, in order to get your Goal.
Remember, this law can only work if you like to work on it.

Skin Care During Pregnancy

Pregnancy hormones bring about huge changes to almost every part of a woman’s body, from skin and hair right through to teeth and gums. Since skin is the outermost layer of the body, even a slight change from the normal is evident.

1. Some of the skin changes that take place during the nine months countdown to motherhood.
Cholasma
Noticed any brownish or yellowish patches of skin on your face? This skin condition presents as a darkening around the eyes, forehead, bridge of nose and cheeks. What you’re seeing in the mirror is the so-called “mask of pregnancy” (chloasma). Chloasma is caused by the effects of the pregnancy hormones progesterone and estrogen on the melanin cells in the skin. If you’re prone to chloasma, you can minimize its effects by avoiding intense sunlight. The pigmentation will start to disappear after you give birth and your hormone levels begin to return to their pre-pregnancy levels.

Acne
Many women find that their faces break out more after they become pregnant. Try to keep your face as clean as possible using a mild cleanser. If you need to visit a dermatologist, make sure you inform her that you are pregnant. Mild oatmeal-based facial scrubs are your best bet for unplugging oily pores. You’ll want to steer clear of abrasive scrubs or exfoliants because your skin is extra sensitive during pregnancy.

Increased pigmentation
Expect the areola (the flat area around your nipple) and the nipple of your breasts to darken during pregnancy and to remain a little darker even after you give birth. Your freckles and moles may also become darker and some new moles may appear while you’re pregnant.

Stretch marks
According to the studies, more than 90 percent of women develop stretch marks during the sixth and seventh months of pregnancy. Stretch marks are caused by the stretching of the underlying layers of skin during pregnancy and typically show up as pink or purplish streaks on the abdomen and — in some cases — the breasts and the thighs. Fortunately, they tend to fade to silver over time, something that makes them a whole lot less noticeable.

Linea nigra
You may find that you have developed a faint brown line from your navel to your pubic bone. This is also due to hormonal changes and will “crumble off” as the top layers of skin cells are shed a few weeks after delivery

2. Ingredients in skin care products to be avoided during Pregnancy
Pregnancy is also a time when special care should be taken to keep the skin healthy and glowing. While most commonly used products are completely safe, there is handful of ingredients considered harmful to a growing baby. The more powerful and targeted products get, the more we need to be careful about what we have in our skin-care regimens during pregnancy and nursing.

Retinoids
These powerful substances, found in some anti aging moisturizers, are lauded for helping reduce wrinkles and improve skin tone. Retinoids are a type of vitamin A that speeds up cell division (quickening your skin’s renewal) and prevent skin collagen from breaking down. There is no strong evidence to show that retinoids ingredients are harmful when used on the skin. It is advised by doctors to avoid during pregnancy and nursing.

Flower Hairstyles always add grace in the look

The wedding day is a monumental event in the life of an individual. There are many different details that must be examined in order to ensure that this day is perfect in every way.
Many weddings incorporate beautiful pakistani bridals into the ceremony.
If you are planning a wedding where you will use your tiny friends and/or relatives as bridals, you must consider the hairstyles that will be used to accent these young women.
Here, you will be introduced to various bridal hairstyles.

Bun Bridal Hairstyles

Many weddings elect hairstyles that will make the hairpiece the center of attention. The individuals who are assisting in the creation of the wedding will often put a lot of work and dedication into the hairpieces that will be worn to reflect the overall theme of the wedding.
If you are having this type of wedding, where every detail must be seen, the bun bridal hairstyles are sure to be a big hit! With this type of hairstyle, the hair can be placed in a wrapped type bun on the top of the head, or on the back of the head.

The bun location will depend on the type of hairpiece that is being used. If you are implementing the use of headbands that lay on top of the head, it is often best to use buns that are placed on the top of the head. If you are using headbands that slide around the head, or are meant to wrap around the hair bun itself, you may consider placing the bun on the back of the head.
For an added effect, you may want to curl or crimp the hair prior to wrapping it in a bun. This will add texture to the hair and increase the visibility of the facial features of the young ladies in your wedding.

A tip for Sophisticated women

Sophisticated women know how to properly layer fragrances to create their own signature blends.
How to do it? Take your favorite scent and layer a new one atop it. Try out several versions until you find your favorite blend.
The safest way to blend is via citrus notes, which can be layered with floral, woodsy and amber-y fragrances.

You can do the same with lipsticks. Create your own shades with mattes and glosses. If you don't like a shade, don't throw it out, perfect one with other colors in your beauty drawer.

Skin Care

For a glowing skin it's important the basic skin care routine. Use cosmetics which does not make your skin dry, and a good moisturizing cream.
When you make-up you can also use a highlighter on your cheekbones and nose. You can also use a highlighting primer maybe that will help to make your skin glow.

You have a dry skin so you can better use cream blusher instead powder blush.

One of the most loved products when it comes to getting that 'glowing' look is Estee Lauders Spotlight, Skin Tone Perfecter. It's a really great product.

If your skin is dry and patchy foundation will just 'settle' in the dry area's and you won't get the glow you're looking for. Make sure you scrub and moisturize and condition/prep your skin before you apply your foundation. It's important that you begin with a clean, moisturized face. Benefit's High Beam and The Body Shops' Radiant Highlighter are both great.

1. Apply lots and lots of moisturizer on your face and leave for 5 minutes

2. Get rid of any excess oils with a tissue and apply primer and then strobe/high beam

3. spritz some fix plus (or rosewater) b4 applying foundation and powder

4. go over the high lighted areas with a bronzer/highlighter/blusher

You can try using YSL Touche Eclat while using your makeup. Its one product that has gotten rave reviews all over.

A shimmer blush should also do the trick.

If you have a party to attend in the night try exfoliating your skin with any over the counter exfoliating face wash in the morning and massaging it with a generous amount of almond oil or ghee or a cold cream and leave it on. Then take a hand towel and dip it in boiling water and let it sit there for a second , squeeze it out but be careful, wear gloves while squeezing the towel.

You will have a steaming hand towel, like the ones they give you on the plane. Leave on your face for a few minutes so your skin absorbs the oils. You can sue this for your hair as well if you have oiled it. Steam opens your pores and lets the oils in.
